Booking Contract

The Valley is operated by The Valley Cottages Ltd. The renting of a cottage will form a contract between the person paying the deposit and signing the reservation form, who must be over 18 years old, and the company. Confirmation will be by invoice showing full details of the amounts and the balance due. Internet bookings will be held provisionally for 1 day only awaiting the deposit (25% of total balance). If no contact is made during that time the cottage will be made re-available for booking. Final payments are due 3 weeks before holiday start date.

Cancellation Policy

No monies are refundable in the event of cancellation. Deposits may be transferred to a future booking if cancellation is more than 6 weeks before holiday start date (This is at the discretion of The Valley). If we do agree to move the booking there will be a £50 admin cost to do this. We strongly advise holiday insurance, details of which will be sent on receipt of booking if requested.

Accommodation

Cottages are offered subject to them being unbooked at the time of receipt of deposit.

Unsuitable Persons

The Management reserves the right not to take bookings from “all male” or “all female” parties or similar groups. The Management reserves the right to refuse entry or to eject from the Valley and its accommodation any person who in the Management’s opinion is unsuitable to take charge or who causes nuisance or disturbance to other guests or staff.

Accommodation Non-Availability

The company is relieved of responsibility and financial liability in the event of the cottage offered and booked in good faith, not being available owing to storm, fire, non completion of construction or such other causes beyond the control of the Company. If the contract cannot be completed at that time, we will offer an alternative period or a voucher so the contract is still intact, this may have an admin charge placed on it.

Non-Arrival

Cottages, although booked and paid for, must be claimed and occupied within 24 hours of the due time of arrival. The Management reserve the right to re-let the accommodation after 24 hours unless prior advice of delayed arrival has been received.

Breakages

All breakages and damage must be reported and paid for. The accommodation must be left clean and tidy on departure. A returnable deposit may be taken on arrival by credit card to cover any damages or additional cleaning requirements found after departure.

VAT

All charges quoted are inclusive of VAT. The Company reserves the right to amend this tax element in the event of a change of VAT rate.

Termination

When the accommodation key is handed in to the office to a member of the company’s staff or in the Managements opinion the accommodation has been vacated, the contract is discharged.
