Head to Newquay Fish Festival
One of the biggest events in Newquay’s calendar will be happening this September: Newquay Fish Festival.

From 14th-16th September, Newquay’s harbour will be turned into a fishy spectacular which celebrates one of the most important industries to Cornwall. The festival attracts thousands each year and this year is expected to be no different.

Top chef Nathan Outlaw will be making an appearance alongside a whole host of other skilled local chefs, and they will be showing eager visitors what wonderful dishes can be created using delicious locally caught fish. An all-day fish barbecue will be giving out fresh battered fish in exchange for a small donation to the Fisherman’s Mission.

Demonstrations aside, local traders will be showcasing their fine produce on stalls, and plenty of entertainment will be carrying on across the weekend featuring the talents of local choirs, live bands, a Last Night of the Proms performance and a sandcastle competition too.

This is an ideal day out for anyone staying in luxury cottages Cornwall, offering visitors the chance to see local Cornwall heritage and produce at its best.
