Cornish cider farm becomes one of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions

The award winning Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm has become one of the UK’s most popular tourist attractions bringing in over 400,000 visitors in the last year. The cider company based in Penhallow is renowned for its brewing of locally sourced apples into delicious bottled ciders, wine and alcohol free fruit juices.

The farm offers guided tours, tractor rides and free produce tasting’s plus a wide range of animals can also be found on the estate too.

Thanks to major investments the cider farm saw the introduction of a new visitor centre as well as a new state of the art £3.5million production facility, allowing for 24 hour production to keep up with 1500 tonnes of apples that were pressed into the West Country’s famous tipple last year.

Commercial Director Joe Healey shared his thoughts on why he thinks the family run business is doing so well saying:

“We are really pleased to have welcomed so many people to the farm this year, showing them everything from the art of cider making and barrel-loads of England’s oldest whiskey on our guided tours, to our jam making kitchen and collection of friendly farmyard animals. We have invested a huge amount into making Healeys a popular and successful business and visitor attraction and can’t wait to welcome even more people this year.”
