Going on holiday presents the perfect time to indulge in some sweet treats! Cornwall is home to a plethora of wonderful sweet shops that are a must-visit for anyone who is partial to all things sugary.

No trip to Looe is complete without visiting Seaside Sweets! A favourite with visitors and locals alike, this lovely store is packed with a huge selection of sweets – you’d be hard-pressed to think of a sweet that they don’t stock.

Granny Wobbly’s Fudge Pantry, Wadebridge

Fudge is, of course, a Cornish staple, and this store has got a delicious range of flavours to entice you.

From iconic clotted cream to indulgent chocolate to delicious maple and walnut, whatever you’re craving, you’ve got your pick. If you’re not sure which flavour to go for, you can sample the different fudges to find your favourite.

You can also sometimes see the fudge being made, allowing you to appreciate the whole process before enjoying the final product.

Pennyworths Traditional Sweet Shop, Truro

Again, if you love the classic sweet shop experience complete with rows and rows of jars filled with all the best bonbons, sherbert, gobstoppers and everything else, this Truro-based shop is perfect for you.

With many visitors expressing the feeling that this shop takes you back in time, you’re sure to have a great time picking your way through the sweet-laden shelves.
