July 01st, 2015
A recent poll has revealed that members of the public believe that Cornwall’s beaches are the most beautiful in Britain, beating rivals such as Devon, Wales and Northumberland.
The public were polled in three separate polls, naming their favourite beaches in England, Wales and Scotland, with the results put together to form a list of the regions with the most beautiful beaches across all of Great Britain.
Cornwall’s beaches topped the list overall due to claiming a massive 28% of the England vote, with other regions in the UK making the list including Anglesey, Isle of Skye, Northumberland and the Shetland Islands.
It shows that appetite for visiting British beaches is still high, with 92% of people also saying that they are planning a trip to the beach this summer.
With more and more people seeking to take their pets on holiday, Cornwall is also a great place to bring your four-legged friend, with many beaches allowing dogs to enjoy the golden sands and the splash of the sea on their paws! The Valley has a range of great dog-friendly Cornwall cottages, situated in an ideal central location perfect for exploring everything that this beautiful region has to offer.
