Cornwall is the perfect place to surf, and this video shows why!

When you’re staying at The Valleys cottages in Cornwall you should take advantage of all the fantastic beaches nearby and get amongst the waves in the beautiful Atlantic by going for a surf!

Much has been made of the counties fantastic natural landscapes with our many National Parks and AONB, but did you know the area also has some of the best surfing waves in Europe? Places like Porthleven, Constantine, Portreath and Porthtowan throw up some world class waves for the more experience surfers among you. But there’s no need to fret if you have never been on a board before, you can head to Towan Beach, Watergate Bay and Harlyn where the waves are gentler, offering a fun experience to people who are learning for the first time.

As we get into the longer evenings of summer there’s never been a better time to stay in our cottages in Cornwall and make the most of the extra light; head to one of our fantastic beaches and enjoy the wonderful show of colour nature puts on as the sun dips down into the Atlantic Ocean whilst catching the waves before heading back to the luxury and comfort of our accommodation, before doing it again the next day!
