Cornwall to witness partial solar eclipse
February 25th, 2015
On the 20th March an astronomical phenomenon will take place and weather permitting we should all get to see a partial solar eclipse.
A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between between the Sun and the Earth but the three do not form a perfectly straight line in space. When that happens, the Moon only partially covers the Sun.
For approximately 90 minutes our luxury self-catering Cornwall cottages will be almost in complete darkness. Located in the countryside The Valley is perfectly situated to witness this event. A Villa Gallery cottage at The Valley has its own private balcony to allow you the perfect view of the sky.
The UK Hydrographic Office has published details of when you will be able to see the eclipse. In Penzance it will begin at 8.18am.
