When you’re on holiday in Cornwall there are always of tonnes of things to do. But we know kids can get restless, so why not check out some of our favourite family friendly activities the whole family can do when staying at our holiday cottages in Cornwall.

River Fal

Great for the family, the River Fal has wonderful woody creeks that are fun to paddle along in a little boat, or alternatively you can hire a family canoe and travel the length of the river. The National Trust Trelissick Gardens are on the banks of the river and are worth a visit.

Camel Bike Trail

In the warm summer weather, a cycle ride along the Camel Estuary is a great way for seeing stunning Cornish countryside. The tracks are good for people of all ages and cycling abilities so everyone will be able to enjoy the ride.

Watergate Bay

If you are looking for a place for the family to try out some water sports in Cornwall there are several places to try a bit of surfing. For some top level water sport fun, head to Watergate Bay where the Extreme Academy can teach you body boarding, surfing, kitesurfing and more.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

For something a bit more relaxing, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and explore the network of woodland walks, spectacular gardens with flower displays and a sub-tropical journey through bamboo tunnels.

Minack Theatre

If you fancy something a little different for the family to do, see the open air Minack Theatre, which has a performance season suitable for younger children. It is a great place to explore, and when watching a play, you can also hear the waves crashing in the distance.
