While Cornwall is blessed with some of the best weather you’ll find in the UK, we’re unfortunately not immune to Mother Nature’s charms. However, that doesn’t mean grey skies need to ruin your stay at our Truro holiday park!

There are many great rainy day activities across Cornwall, including some wonderful indoor play areas for the kids! Let your little ones run off some steam in these popular attractions.

Kidzworld

Location: St Austell, PL25 3RP
Recommended Ages: Toddlers to Young Teens
Website

As popular with locals as holidaymakers, Kidzworld is one of Cornwall’s most-loved indoor play areas.

There’s something for everyone here, from classic slides and soft play to the Toddler’s Village that’s perfect for little ones and the interactive Games Zone that older kids will love. There’s even a roller skating rink in case any parents were worried about missing out on the fun.

Their morning and afternoon sessions are capped to keep the capacity at manageable levels, so everyone can have fun. Kidzworld recommend you book family tickets in advance as it can get busy during peak holiday periods, but you can also turn up on the day if there are spaces left.

Ferdi’s Indoor Play

Location: Helston, TR13 OQA
Recommended Ages: Toddlers & Children
Website

Ferdi’s has been a popular indoor play area for many years, particularly for younger children. There’s a classic indoor play area here with slides, ball pools, cannon shooters and more. There’s a Toddler Zone for little ones, as well as a Mini Street featuring play supermarkets and vets, where children can get creative.

A nice feature of Ferdi’s is the cafe layout, with seating places around the indoor play area, making it super easy for parents to keep an eye on their kids while enjoying some food.

Ferdi’s is all pay and play – no booking, just turn up on the day. However, they do set capacity limits and recommend calling ahead or checking their social media if visiting at peak times.

Raze the Roof

Location: Penryn, TR10 9EP
Recommended Ages: All Ages
Website

Raze the Roof is a popular location for birthday parties, offering classic soft play and so much more.

The classic mega play frame is good for burning off some energy on rainy days, with slides, climbing walls and an area for tiny tots. However, Raze also hosts laser tag, gel blasters and Raze VR, a virtual reality gaming experience that the whole family can enjoy.

All of their games can be booked in advance online, while you can also pay on the day to enjoy the indoor play area.

Bodmin Trampoline Park

Location: Bodmin, PL31 2RQ
Recommended Ages: All Ages
Website

Who doesn’t enjoy bouncing around in a sea of trampolines? With games, soft play and more bouncy mats than you could count, Bodmin Trampoline Park is a great way to keep kids (and kids at heart) happy.

There’s plenty of space for kids to practice their aerial moves, or they can join in with activities such as dodgeball, basketball and freestyle boards. There’s also soft play for younger children and a cafe, ideal for parents who may not want to spend half the day in the air.

Bodmin Trampoline Park runs different sessions throughout the week, from General Bounce for kids and adults to special sessions like their Tots Club for under 5s.

Trethorne Leisure Park

Location: Launceston, PL15 8QE
Recommended Ages: All Ages
Website

Trethorne is a great place for family fun, with plenty of activities where everyone can get involved.

Kids will have lots of fun burning off energy in the indoor fun park, where they can climb, crawl and slide to their heart’s content. Beyond the play area, there are also didicars for little ones to race around, while the Rabbit & Guinea Pig House is a long-time favourite with children getting to meet the adorable creatures.

The on-site cafe and restaurant will keep everyone fed, while there’s also ten-pin bowling and dodgems where the whole family can get competitive!

Note that the site runs a reduced service outside of the holiday season, with supervised indoor activities only open at weekends.

With so many exciting indoor play areas, you don’t need to worry about bad weather spoiling your trip to Cornwall!

Even better, if you’re staying with us at The Valley, you can enjoy our very own Games Room. With classics like foosball, table tennis and pool alongside traditional board games and modern games consoles, you have hours of indoor fun right on your doorstep. You can even take a board game back to your cosy cottage to continue the fun.
