The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is one of the best animal sanctuaries to visit in Cornwall and is a fantastic day out for all ages. The Seal Sanctuary rehabilitates rescued seal pups that have been injured, separated from their mother or malnourished. You can experience these amazing marine animals up close throughout each enclosure to learn about their wonderful rescue stories and care stories. 

Seals pups are not the only animals you will see on this adventure. The sanctuary houses Southern sea lions, Humboldt penguins, otters, goats, ponies and sheep. Plenty of food options dotted around the place with a fantastic gift shop and sponsorship opportunities. Not to mention, the sanctuary is dog-friendly!

How to create a last minute booking:

  • To pre-book your tickets for fast-track entry, visit their online website, where you can book a time slot for arrival on the same day. The last admissions are at 3:30 pm. 
  • You can buy tickets at the door. Once you purchase a ticket, your ticket is valid for 12 months for free entry!

The Eden Project

Days Open: 7 days a week

Opening Hours: 8:45 am – 6 pm (Timetables are released throughout the year)

The Eden Project is a one-of-a-kind spectacle and a true treasure of Cornwall. The Eden Project was created in 2001 and built in a clay pit, and the team brought various plants worldwide and created glorious gardens in tropical biomes. The Eden Project celebrates nature, sustainability, music, and politics and is a visual symbol of regeneration.

  • You must pre-book all tickets for the Eden Project in advance of arrival.
  • To pre-book your tickets, you can visit their website when you want to go and book your arrival time. The last entry is at 4 pm. 
  • Once you purchase your tickets, your ticket is valid for 12 months for free entry!

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm

Days Open: 7 days a week

Opening Hours: 9 am – 8 pm

Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm is one of the best things to do in Cornwall with dogs, and the farm provides fun for all ages and furry friends. The farm is famous for making Cornwall’s finest cyder, and the family is the creator of Cornish Rattler Cider.

There are a range of activities to do throughout your day at the farm, such as seeing the friendly farm animals, guided tours, train rides, cream tea experiences, a new interactive tasting/ sensory room and a museum!
