May 16th, 2016

Grammy winning musician Nile Rogers is set to play the Finale of the BBC Music Day at the Eden Project in June with it being conveniently situated a short distance from our luxury cottages.

The music legend has been made a BBC Music Day Ambassador and will delight fans when he performs on Friday June 3rd with him joining the line-up of Duran Duran, Laura Mvula and Brit Critics Choice finalist Izzy Bizu for the event, which is now in its second year.

Nile Rodgers spoke of the power of music saying:

“Music takes you to a place you go during the experience of it, and then after you experience it you are different. I’m proud to be a BBC Music Ambassador; to try and help a few someone’s to become different.”

Music events at the Eden Project are a sight to behold with revellers not only enjoying fantastic musical performances but a breath-taking view, with the iconic biomes lit up, providing an unforgettable backdrop behind the main stage.

Eden’s marketing director Rita Broe said:

“What a delightful thing it will be to have Nile back at Eden as BBC Music Day Ambassador after his amazing show here a few years ago. People still talk about it! Izzy Bizu will kick off an already fabulous line-up with style: it’ll be unforgettable evening in Cornwall.”

If you’re not part of the 6,000 strong crowd then you are in luck as the concert will be shown on BBC One later that weekend with The One Show also presenting live from this amazing Cornish event.
