Visit St Michaels Mount this Easter and take advantage of these fantastic activities.

March 04th, 2016

St Michaels Mount is an iconic Cornish landmark, making it one of the most popular tourist spots in the south west, with visitors flocking to take in the spectacular views by either taking a boat to the island when the tide is high or walking the small causeway as the tide begins to drop.

The island itself is situated 400m off the beach at Mount’s Bay and offers medieval pathways, tropical gardens, a castle, a sub-tropical garden paradise and a close-knit island community, home to the St Aubyn family and thirty island residents.

This Easter there will be a host of great activities that will provide fun for all the family, whilst being just a short distance from our range of luxury cottages in Cornwall.

On March 25th, 27th and 28th there will be Cornish storytelling from ‘The Story Republic’, famed in Cornwall for their pop-up performances of Cornish tales, songs and poetry, their material is inspired by and taken from Cornish writers past and present.

There’s also the annual Easter Egg Trail where your little ones will go exploring for delicious chocolate treats around the village and harbour before visiting ‘Get Crafty’, which is full of craft activities and face painting!

Once your face resembles a lion and you’re full of chocolate delve into the history of this exceptional landmark before joining the search for a giant’s stone heart, the armour of a samurai warrior and even a mummified cat!

Before the end of the day visit the islands boutique shops, visit the Island gift shop or the courtyard shop for unique crafted objects, accessories and delicious Cornish produce.
