Here in Cornwall, there are plenty of fantastic dog-friendly attractions. So, we set off to discover which attractions are the best for you and your dog to discover! 

We have ranked over 50 dog friendly attractions from beaches, pubs, garden walks and activities! The attractions were ranked on various factors, if there is a cost to the attraction or a seasonal dog ban if your dog needs to be on a lead and if the attraction contains dog friendly facilities.

1. Holywell Beach

Holywell is a National Trust location that is ideal for dogs! There are many dog-friendly things to do, such as running on the beach of golden sand and zooming through the grass-tufted dunes! Holywell is also ideal for families, as the beach has many places to stroll, relax and explore! 

Please be aware adders can be common within the dunes at Holywell. They are poisonous and can give your dog a nasty bite if they come in contact. If your dog is bitten, please seek veterinary attention immediately.

2. Carnewas at Bedruthan

Carnewas and Bedruthan is a coastline on the North side of Cornwall between Padstow and Newquay. This stretch of coastline is perfect for dogs as there are many clifftop footpaths to explore! Be careful when adventuring across the shoreline, as there are sheer cliff edges and livestock. 

Dogs are welcome in the tea-room garden and picnic areas but should be controlled. Plenty of dog bowls and bins are dotted around the coastline, the tea room and picnic areas.

 3. Botallack

Botallack is a spectacular old mining ruin located on the South West coast of Cornwall. The ‘Tin Coast’ is perfect for dog walks as the coast stretches for miles and miles both ways. Dogs are more than welcome on the footpaths and the cafe around Botallack. 

Beware, the terrain could be more balanced, and livestock is scattered throughout the coastline. There are plenty of dog bowls and bins dotted around the coastline.

4. Mullion Cove

Mullion Cove is one of the best beaches to visit on the Lizard Peninsula! You can take your dog for a lovely walk along the harbour wall and coastal path. Dogs are welcome all year round, splashing in the waves and playing ball across the beach. 

Dog facilities are limited. There are dog bins available throughout the beach and coastal path.

 5. Bosveal

Bosveal provides some of the best beaches near Falmouth. If you are looking for a quiet area to take your dog to, Bosveal is the perfect place! Boseval is a secret dog-friendly location with wooded valleys and secluded coves. 

Dog facilities here are quite limited, but plenty of dog bins are available around this attraction.

6. Fistral Beach

Fistral Beach is one of the perfect family friendly beaches in Cornwall! This beach is lifeguard controlled, and your furry friends are available to run around and play all year round. Plenty of dog-friendly places to explore, eat and shop nearby exist. 

Fistral Beach is perfect for surf lovers looking to ride the waves with their furry friends!

7. Camel Trail

The Camel Trail provides beautiful views of the Cornish countryside and is perfect for those looking for a long dog walk. The Camel Trail is 18 miles long and passes through Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow.

There are plenty of dog bins, tons of trees and a lonely river your dog can swim, play and drink in! The Camel Trail is also perfect for adventurous cycling holidays in Cornwall!

8. Lusty Glaze Beach

Lusty Glaze Beach is one of Cornwall’s dog friendly hidden gems! Lusty Glaze is famous for its white sand, brilliant surf and sensational sunsets. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful for you and your dog, this beach is the one for you. 

Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round! There are plenty of dog bins and friendly places nearby to spend an ideal day in Cornwall.

 9. Carne and Pendower

These two dog friendly beaches are perfect for dogs looking for a run, splashing in the water or a scenic coastal walk. The two beaches are next to each other that open up to become one big beach at low tide. Dogs must be kept on a short lead during the summer months. 

Carne and Pendower are the best beaches near Truro. Dogs are allowed on the beaches all year round!

10. St Anthony Head

In the Roseland Peninsula, overlooking a neutral harbour is St Anthony Head. This location showcases the remains of a military fortification. Dogs are allowed here all year round and there are plenty of walks to do while exploring the fortification.  

St Anthony Head requires dogs to be kept on a short lead throughout the site!
