BBC’s Flog It! comes to Falmouth

January 13th, 2015

The popular BBC One antiques programme Flog It presented by Paul Martin, is due to be coming to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth on Thursday, January 15, 2015. This popular BBC antiques show is now on its fourteenth series and regularly achieves an audience of over two million viewers in its weekday afternoon slot.

The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth will be hosting the Flog It valuation day where members of the public will be invited to bring along up to three antiques and collectables they might be interested in selling. Once valued, the owner and a team of experts decide whether an object should go forward for auction. If the item is chosen it is then included in a live sale a few weeks later when hopefully the auctioneers hammer will bring the items owner a nice return.

The National Maritime Museum is only a ten minute train ride from Perranwell Station which is itself only a few minutes from The Valley’s dog friendly cottages Cornwall.

Paul Martin will be joined on the valuation day by Flog It on screen experts Caroline Hawley, Philip Serrell and Charles Hanson. The BBC is planning to transmit the four editions of Flog It featuring the National Maritime Museum Cornwall within a year of recording.
