The Cornish Sea Salt Company have set their sights on increasing international sales, after securing over £1 million in funding.
The company based in Helston, just a short distance from our Cornwall luxury cottages, received £975,000 in Growth Capital funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial, and a further £307,000 grant from Cornwall Marine Network.
The company already receives very strong demands for its products within the UK, and is starting to receive higher demands abroad. They are aiming to double staff numbers over the next 18 months as a way of catering for these requests.
Since establishing in 2007, the Cornish Sea Salt Company have won the favour of many customers thanks to their natural and unrefined sea salt across a range of different products. They can be found on the shelf of most leading retailers, which has contributed to the steady rise of their revenue.
Revenue for the 2015 financial year is forecast to grow 28 per cent year-on-year, to a total of £2.3 million. This success is sure to continue as the company continues to grow, and we wish the Cornish Sea Salt Company all the best as they continue to conquer the market!
