A campaign to raise enough cash to bring the Foo Fighters to Cornwall has hit its target, meaning the rock giants could be heading to the Duchy.
The campaign started last year with the aim of raising £250,000 to get Dave Grohl and co to play in Cornwall and has recently reached that goal.
The campaign is one of a number of similar small grassroots campaign being run across the UK, but is by far and away the most successful.
The band’s management are aware of the campaign and now the targets been reached the organisers are set to begin negotiations to bring them to Cornwall.
It’s hoped the gig will take place in 2015.
It seems the Foos are fans of this sort of campaign, after fans from Richmond, in the US state of Virginia successfully pulled off a similar stunt.
After playing at the gig in Richmond lead-singer Dave Grohl said: “This could be the way all bands decide where to play in future.
“It guarantees a great crowd and if people want to hear us play then we want to give them that chance.”
