Disney artists on hand to bring new Cornwall attraction to life

February 16th, 2015

A professional artist who was involved in Disney’s latest film release Into The Woods has used his expertise to help bring Pirate’s Quest, a brand new attraction in Newquay, to life with a host of rumbustious murals and swashbuckling displays!

The man in question is Greg Winter, and he has taken a host of images of Newquay’s 18th-century harbour, also known as Towan Blystra, in order to create some seriously awe-inspiring scenery for visitors to see as part of the interactive visitor experience.

Greg also spent time and skills to build a new entrance area, based around the wreck of the Royal Anne galley. The entrance features intriguing hidden doorways and other exciting surprises, as well as recreating the deck of the Neptune which is, as you will discover upon a visit, resident pirate Calico Jack’s infamous ship.

Pirate’s Quest is now open for anyone wanting to enjoy a fun family experience, combining actors, cool special effects, not to mention impressive 360-degree sets in an authentic walk-through experience.

The attraction is now open and you can head on over for the hour-long adventure, why not take a visit while you’re staying with us here in The Valley?
