Harry Potter has landed in Falmouth!

October 21st, 2015

Children’s charity Kids in Museums has chosen the Falmouth Art Gallery to take part in the Bloomsbury Children’s Books’ Harry Potter Spotter competition. 12 other venues across the UK and Ireland will also be taking part in the Potter fun.

The competition has been arranged to celebrate the release of the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by JK Rowling. Each gallery will display a limited edition Harry Potter print by the illustrator of the edition, Jim Kay.

To be in with a chance of winning a prize Potter fans will have to seek out the print before taking a selfie with it. Fans must then share the image across Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #HarryPotterSpotter.

One lucky fan will receive a Jim Kay signed print and a deluxe copy of the Illustrated Edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which retails at £150. They will also receive a family ticket to the Warner Bros Studio Tour London, and a Harry Potter tote bag.

Bloomsbury will also gift 12 lucky runners up with a Jim Kay signed print and a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated Edition.

Our accommodation in Cornwall is situated under 30 minutes away from the sandy town of Falmouth. The competition will be running till November the 1st, so if you’re planning a visit any time soon then why not be a Potter spotter?
