What to Do
On your visit to Cornwall, the trickiest thing will be deciding what to do, as there is so much on offer, catering to all tastes. A few of our favourites have been listed below.
Romantic Walks
Cornwall is known for its array of stunning walks. Whether you want to take a stroll along the South West Coast Path or fancy visiting some of the beautiful areas where Poldark was filmed. The beaches are particularly quiet at this time of year and it’s really quite mesmerising to watch the waves crash against the shore. Although this time of year is often a little cold, as long as you wrap up warm in a hat, scarf and gloves, you’ll still be able to enjoy the picturesque scenes. Don’t forget to bring along a flask of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a snack to enjoy when you find the perfect view!
Visit The Eden Project
The Eden Project is open all year around and is a fantastic attraction for people of all ages. Explore the enormous biomes and discover an array of wildlife, flowers, plants and sculptures. You can enjoy a delicious meal at the Med or a tasty treat at the Baobab Bar for a refreshment. Or, if you’re looking for a truly special and romantic treat for Valentine’s Day, why not book in for a Valentine’s dinner in the Rainforest Biome which includes bubbly, canapés, a three-course meal and entertainment! Don’t forget to pick up some souvenirs made from a plethora of recycled items to mark the memory!
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are said to be one of the most romantic estates in England, surrounded in mystery. Having been lost in the growth for decades, the 200-acre secret garden has been uncovered and provides an incredibly unique setting that will delight your inner child. Spend the day roaming through the greenery and spotting wildlife before heading to the outdoor jungle where you can climb across rope bridges and explore life up in the trees. From the 10th to the 18th February, you can go and visit the ‘Love Birds’ and learn about the beautiful owls from Screech Owl Sanctuary.
