Kick start December with Truro’s annual Reindeer Parade
November 21st, 2016
Cornwall is gearing up for a fantastic festive season, and Truro, located near our luxury cottages is one of the best places for unmissable festive events. With the City of Lights, Christmas markets and late night shopping, there is nowhere better to be in the weeks before Christmas, especially on Wednesday, November 30 for the annual Reindeer Parade.
Taking place on the last day of November, it is the perfect way to kick start December. The event starts at 6pm at Truro’s Victoria Square, and the parade begins at 6.45pm, making its way through the city centre and finishing around an hour later back at the square.
The procession will also include Camborne Youth Band, dancers and performers from award-winning Jason Thomas Performing Arts and Santa fun-runners. There will also be some stalls and a market selling Christmas treats on Lemon Quay, staying open until 9pm.
There will be chances to see the reindeer before they set off along the parade, as well as seeing them along the route. The event is always a favourite for families and truly brings the festive cheer to the city.
When looking for last-minute child-friendly holidays, Cornwall during the Christmas season is a wonderful time to go. There are tonnes of fantastic events taking place around Cornwall, many close by our luxury cottages located between Falmouth and Truro.
