Maritime Museum Opens Doors Free of Charge

The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is joining in with the National Heritage open days this September by opening its doors to the members of public free of charge.

Between the 10th and 12th September you can book a place to see their Bartlett Library. With over 19,000 books it may well be one of the biggest collections of maritime books in the South West. Come and meet the team who run the library and explore all the archived journals and maritime books.

The Maritime Museum host a variety of exhibitions and displays plus monthly events. They also frequently run workshops and activities for children so is definitely worth a visit. Their newest exhibition – Vikings Voyagers – has been a real hit so far and reveals the secrets behind the Vikings’ success.
