Penzance is Cornwall’s new gourmet capital
February 16th, 2016
Penzance and the surrounding areas are home to some of the most exciting restaurants and eateries in the South West.
The recent opening of The Shore has put Penzance on the map for a place to get good gourmet food. Serving some of the best seafood in the county the restaurant is in a prime town-centre location.
Though there are lots of eateries in Penzance, there is always room for more, as the restaurant has chef and owner Bruce Rennie crafting blackberry semifreddo with pistachio sponge himself, among other delicious foods.
There are many other great restaurants around Penzance to enjoy a meal in while you are enjoying a luxury holiday in Cornwall, like The Mexico Inn in Longrock, The Coldstreamer in Gulval or Tolcarne Inn in Newlyn.
The Tolcarne Inn has a menu which changes daily depending on what is available from the market, making great use of local produce.
If you are looking for a traditional Cornish pub experience, take a trip to The Crown where there is a great selection of real ale made in their own microbrewery. And for a scrumptious cream tea, look no further than The Bay restaurant to indulge in one of Cornwall’s best treats.
