Mother’s Day in Cornwall

March 11th, 2015

As you all will probably know, Mother’s Day is on the 15th March, which is only a few days away. If you are looking to stay at one of our family cottage holidays Cornwall this Mother’s Day weekend, why not take a look at what is happening near us here at the Valley:

The Valley

Here at the Valley, we have a great Mother’s Day deal running over the whole of the weekend. This includes three nights’ accommodation and food at our exclusive Azur Café. There is also the opportunity to have access to our full range of our resort facilities, including our spa pool, giving mum a chance to relax in style!

Full details of this deal can be found here, so why not take a look and book a last minute deal?

Trelissick Gardens

Trelissick Gardens have a special event running just for Mother’s Day, where you will be able to make your very own posy in their stables. This is a great activity to take part in, especially if you have children to bring along for the day.

Running alongside of this, Trelissick still have their daffodil show running over the weekend. The Garden Team at Trelissick pick a range of daffodils from the fields of world renowned daffodil breeder Ron Scamp. These will then be displayed in the stable block.

With a plant centre, arts and crafts gallery and a café for refreshments, a day out at Trelissick Gardens is certainly possibly this Mothering Sunday. Full details of the gardens can be found here.

Lost Gardens of Heligan

A short drive from us here at the Valley are the Lost Gardens of Heligan, who have a special Mother’s Day planned out. Upon arrival, every mum will gain free entry to the Gardens, as well as a bunch of Fentongollan’s Cornish daffodils. A traditional Sunday Roast can then be enjoyed between 12pm – 2pm, featuring Heligan grown vegetables, and all locally sourced produce.

A walk around the gardens can then be enjoyed, with over 200 acres of gardens to be enjoyed, featuring a large range of wildlife. The garden can most certainly be enjoyed by everyone.

Full details of the Gardens can be found on their website, featuring opening times, and can be found here.
